Dionysus Route For lovers of wine and wine tourism On our Dionysus Route, which, as its name indicates, honors the Greek god of wine and theater, we propose a wine tasting and a gastronomic experience. On our Dionysus Route, which, as its name suggests, honors the Greek god of wine and theater, we propose a wine tasting conducted at Bodegas El Pujío, and the possibility of tasting the most typical dishes of Andalusian cuisine on the banks of the Genil, or the rice specialties offered by the Maruja Limón Restaurant. The experience was thought to make possible the tasting of the nature of our town, going from the wines to the tastes and smells of the Genil bank. The wines that we have selected for the tasting of the Dionysus Route belong to the Bodega El Pujío, let’s get to know it. The land of Puente Genil has been dedicated to the cultivation of vineyards for centuries. The typology of the soil and the climate make the environment a favorable place for growing grapes and making wine. The wines of the Bodega El Pujío, come mainly from two vineyards, located in the Cordoba towns of Puente Genil and Aguilar de la Frontera: La Pimienta and El Pujío. Bodega El Pujío was born from the passion of its founder, Agustín Reina Galán, for the world of wine. This led him to undertake this project to which his daughter, Rocío Reina Medina, a winemaker and passionate about her work, has joined. The human team, made up of family members and a team of highly qualified technicians, and the quality of its wines, have made Bodegas El Pujío win prizes such as the “Great Gold” in Vinoro or the “Great Gold” at Monovino 2016. On this route, we propose a tour of the plantation and the facilities of the winery, where they will explain the entire process of making and aging the wine. Then we offer a tasting of 3 wines with paired tapas. We will finish the route with moving for lunch at the Maruja Limón Restaurant. This route is done in your own vehicle.
